Why We Built FindIslamicNames

FindIslamicNames.com was built out of a real need — when expecting parents search for Islamic names online, most sites give them a bare list: name, one-line meaning, done. We wanted something better.

Every name in our database includes its Arabic script, a detailed meaning in English and Urdu, the linguistic root it comes from, Quranic or Hadith references where they exist, and historical context. We verify meanings against primary Arabic sources before publishing.

This is an independent project built by Muslim developers who care about accuracy. We are not affiliated with any institution or organization — just a team committed to making authentic Islamic name research accessible to every family, for free.
