Dhiraar ibn al-Khattab (also known as Dirar ibn al-Khattab) was a companion of Prophet Muhammad, known as a skilled warrior and poet. He fought against the Muslims at the Battle of Uhud and the Battle of the Trench before embracing Islam on the day of the Conquest of Mecca. After converting, he became a prominent warrior in the Rashidun army, participating in the Ridda wars, the Battle of Yamama, the Muslim conquest of Syria, the Battle of Yarmouk, the Battle of Qadisiyyah, and the Battle of Jalula.
