Abu al-Sanabil bin Ba'kak
Abu al-Sanabil (Ashram bin Ba'kak bin al-Harith bin al-Sabbaq) was a companion of Prophet Muhammad from the Banu Abd al-Dar clan of the Quraysh tribe. He accepted Islam on the day of the Conquest of Mecca (Fathu Makkah). He was a poet of his time. He was the husband of Subai'ah bint al-Harith al-Aslamiyyah, a female companion known for her story about the waiting period ('iddah) for a pregnant widow. According to historian al-Baghawi, he lived in Kufa, while others state that he remained in Mecca until his death.
