Abu Arwa al-Dawsi (Rabi'ah bin al-Harith, also known as Ubayd bin al-Harith) was a companion of Prophet Muhammad from the Daws tribe, which is part of the Azd tribe. He participated in the Battle of Qarqarat al-Kudr with the Prophet. He was known to be 'Uthmani' (a supporter of Caliph Uthman). He lived in Dhu al-Hulayfah (near Medina). He narrated a hadith about praying Asr and then walking to Dhu al-Hulayfah before sunset. Some scholars noted weakness in the chain of his narrations. He died at the end of Mu'awiyah's caliphate.
