Abu Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah (RA) was one of the ten companions promised Paradise and was known as the 'Trustee of the Ummah' (Amin al-Ummah). He was born in 583 CE in Mecca and belonged to the Banu al-Harith ibn Fihr clan of the Quraish. He accepted Islam through Abu Bakr and was among the earliest converts. He migrated to Abyssinia and later to Medina. He was known for his honesty and trustworthiness. At the Battle of Uhud, he lost two front teeth while extracting iron rings from the Prophet's cheek. He led the Muslim army in Syria under Caliph Abu Bakr and Umar and conquered Damascus, Jerusalem, and much of Syria. He died in 639 CE during the plague of Amwas.

ابو عبیدہ بن جراح رضی اللہ عنہ ان دس صحابیوں میں سے تھے جنہیں جنت کی بشارت دی گئی تھی اور وہ 'امین الامہ' کے نام سے مشہور تھے۔ وہ 583 عیسوی میں مکہ میں پیدا ہوئے۔ انہوں نے ابو بکر کے ذریعے اسلام قبول کیا۔ وہ غزوہ احد میں نبی کریم کے چہرے سے لوہے کی کڑیاں نکالتے ہوئے اپنے دو دانت گنوا بیٹھے۔ انہوں نے شام میں مسلم فوج کی قیادت کی اور دمشق، یروشلم اور شام کو فتح کیا۔ وہ 639 عیسوی میں طاعون کے مرض میں وفات پا گئے۔
أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاح
أبو عبيدة بن الجراح هو أحد العشرة المبشرين بالجنة، وعُرف بأمين الأمة. ولد عام 583 م في مكة. أسلم على يد أبي بكر. فقد اثنين من أسنانه في غزوة أحد أثناء إزالة حلقات الحديد من وجنة النبي. قاد الجيش المسلم في الشام وفتح دمشق والقدس. توفي عام 639 م أثناء طاعون عمواس.
