Abu Umamah As'ad bin Sahl
Abu Umamah As'ad bin Sahl was a companion of Prophet Muhammad from the Ansar (helpers) of Medina. He was a member of the Banu Harithah clan of the Khazraj tribe. His father Sahl was also a companion. As'ad bin Sahl is sometimes identified as the same person as Abu Umamah bin Tha'labah, but some sources differentiate between them. He is mentioned in the biographical dictionaries of companions as a Sahabi from the Ansar.
