Adam bin Rabi'ah
Adam bin Rabi'ah bin al-Harith bin Abdul Muttalib bin Hashim was a companion of Prophet Muhammad from the Banu Hashim clan of the Quraysh tribe. He was the cousin of the Prophet, as his father Rabi'ah was the brother of Abdullah, the Prophet's father. His lineage is notable as he is the son of Rabi'ah, the brother of Abdul Muttalib's son. The Prophet mentioned him on the day of the Conquest of Mecca when he said, 'The first blood I abolish is the blood of Ibn Rabi'ah.' Adam was killed as an infant while being nursed among the tribe of Banu Sa'd bin Layth during a raid. The Prophet declared his blood invalid on the day of the conquest.
