أَنِيس

Anis

Anis is a variant of Anees and has the exact same meaning and pronunciation . It is an indirect Quranic name for boys meaning 'one who is friendly and gentle with others', 'one whose words are consoling', 'one whose presence brings calm and peace'. Anis is derived from the A-N-S root (to recognize, to perceive) which is used in many places in the Quran . You can use either Anis or Anees, both are correct and acceptable .
