Maymunah bint al-Harith (RA) was the eleventh and final wife of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and a Mother of the Believers. She was born around 594 CE. Her original name was Barrah, but the Prophet changed it to Maymunah, which means 'blessed' or 'good tidings'. She was the sister of Umm Fadl (wife of Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib) and the maternal half-sister of Zaynab bint Khuzayma. The Prophet married her in 629 CE at a place called Sarif, about 10 miles from Mecca, after completing the Lesser Pilgrimage. She was known for her humble and ascetic life, performing Hajj annually and Umrah frequently, accumulating around 50 pilgrimages. She narrated several hadiths about the Prophet's practices. She died in 671 CE and was the last of the Prophet's wives to die.
