معاذ

Mu'adh

Mu'adh is an Arabic name meaning 'protected' or 'one who is guarded by Allah'. The name is most famously associated with Mu'adh ibn Jabal, a distinguished companion of Prophet Muhammad. He was known for his deep knowledge of Islamic jurisprudence and was appointed by the Prophet as a judge (qadi) for Yemen. The Prophet described him as the most knowledgeable of the Ummah in matters of halal and haram.
