موسیٰ علیہ السلام اللہ کے عظیم پیغمبروں میں سے ایک ہیں اور ان کا ذکر قرآن میں سب سے زیادہ آیا ہے۔ انہیں فرعون کی طرف بھیجا گیا تھا اور ان پر تورات نازل کی گئی تھی۔ ان کی زندگی کا واقعہ تفصیل سے قرآن میں بیان ہوا ہے[citation:1]۔

موسى هو الاسم العربي لموسى عليه السلام، أحد أولي العزم من الرسل. أرسله الله إلى فرعون ليدعوه إلى عبادة الله وحده، وأنزل عليه التوراة. ورد ذكره في القرآن أكثر من أي نبي آخر[citation:1].
