عكاشة اسم عربي يعني 'المتماسك' أو 'العنكبوت'. يرتبط الاسم بالصحابي الجليل عكاشة بن محصن الأسدي. عُرف بشجاعته في غزوة بدر، حيث كسر سيفه فأعطاه النبي ﷺ عوداً تحول إلى سيف حاد. بشره النبي ﷺ بأنه من السبعين ألفاً الذين يدخلون الجنة بغير حساب. إنه صحابي جليل وبطل شجاع.
