Omar
Omar is an Arabic name meaning 'long-lived', 'thriving', 'flourishing', or 'eloquent'. The name is most famously associated with Umar ibn al-Khattab (c. 584–644), the second Rashidun Caliph and a senior companion of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. عمر اسم عربي يعني 'طويل العمر' أو 'مزدهر'. يرتبط الاسم بالصحابي والخليفة الراشد الثاني عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه، الملقب بالفاروق. وسع الدولة الإسلامية وأدخل التقويم الهجري. اغتيل عام 644 م على يد فيروز أبو لؤلؤة. يُعتبر في السنة النبوية قدوة في العدل والقوة والحكمة.
