Safiyyah bint Huyayy (RA) was the tenth wife of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and a Mother of the Believers. She was born around 610-614 CE in Yathrib (Medina) to Huyayy ibn Akhtab, the chieftain of the Jewish Banu Nadir tribe. Her father and brother were long-time opponents of Islam. She was first married to Sallam ibn Mishkam (divorced) and then to Kinana ibn al-Rabi, the treasurer of Banu Nadir, who was killed during the Battle of Khaybar in 628 CE. After being taken captive, she was given the choice to return to her people or embrace Islam and marry the Prophet. She chose Islam and marriage. She was known for her piety and patience, and she defended Caliph Uthman during his siege. She died around 664-672 CE and was buried in Jannat al-Baqi.

صفیہ بنت حیی رضی اللہ عنہا نبی کریم ﷺ کی دسویں زوجہ اور ام المؤمنین تھیں۔ وہ 610-614 عیسوی کے قریب یثرب (مدینہ) میں پیدا ہوئیں۔ ان کے والد یہودی قبیلہ بنو نضیر کے سردار تھے۔ وہ خیبر کی جنگ میں قیدی بنیں۔ انہیں اپنے لوگوں میں واپس جانے یا اسلام قبول کرنے اور نبی کریم سے شادی کرنے کا اختیار دیا گیا۔ انہوں نے اسلام اور شادی کو منتخب کیا۔ وہ 664-672 عیسوی کے قریب وفات پا گئیں۔

صفية بنت حيي هي إحدى زوجات النبي محمد ﷺ وأمهات المؤمنين. كانت من قبيلة بني النضير اليهودية. أُسرت في غزوة خيبر عام 628 م. أعطيت خيار العودة إلى قومها أو الإسلام والزواج من النبي، فاختارت الإسلام. توفيت حوالي 664-672 م.
