Yunus
Yunus is the Arabic name for Jonah, a prophet of Allah mentioned in the Quran. The name is derived from the Hebrew word 'Yonah', meaning 'dove' or 'peaceful being'. Prophet Yunus was sent to the people of Nineveh and is known for his story of being swallowed by a great fish (whale) when he left his people without Allah's permission. After repenting and calling upon Allah from the darkness of the fish's belly, he was saved. The 10th chapter of the Quran is named after him, Surah Yunus.
