Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (RA) was the first Caliph of Islam and one of the closest companions of Prophet Muhammad. His personal name was Abdullah, but he was known as Abu Bakr based on his son's name, Bakr. He earned the title 'as-Siddiq' (the Truthful) because he was the first among men to confirm the truth of the Holy Prophet's claim to prophethood. He was born in 572 CE in Mecca and was a close friend of the Prophet. He was the only companion with the Prophet in the Cave of Thaur during the migration (Hijrah) from Mecca to Medina. He was one of the ten blessed ones given glad tidings of Paradise.

ابو بکر صدیق
ابو بکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ اسلام کے پہلے خلیفہ اور نبی کریم کے قریبی ساتھی تھے۔ ان کا ذاتی نام عبداللہ تھا، لیکن وہ اپنے بیٹے بکر کی نسبت سے ابو بکر کے نام سے مشہور تھے۔ انہیں 'صدیق' کا خطاب اس لیے ملا کہ وہ نبی کریم کے دعویٰ نبوت کی تصدیق کرنے والے پہلے مرد تھے۔ وہ ہجرت کے موقع پر غار ثور میں نبی کریم کے ہم راہ تھے۔
أَبُو بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيق
أبو بكر الصديق هو أول الخلفاء الراشدين وأقرب الصحابة إلى النبي محمد. كان اسمه عبد الله، لكنه عُرف بأبي بكر نسبة إلى ابنه بكر. لقب بالصديق لكونه أول من صدق النبي في دعوته. ولد عام 572 م في مكة وكان رفيق النبي في غار ثور أثناء الهجرة. وهو أحد العشرة المبشرين بالجنة.
