عیسیٰ عربی میں حضرت عیسیٰ علیہ السلام کا نام ہے، جو اسلام کے آخری نبیوں میں سے ہیں اور حضرت مریم علیہا السلام کے بیٹے ہیں۔ ان کا ذکر قرآن مجید میں 78 بار آیا ہے۔ اسلامی روایت میں حضرت عیسیٰ کو مسیح، 'روح منہ' (اللہ کی طرف سے روح) اور 'کلمۃ اللہ' (اللہ کا کلمہ) کہا جاتا ہے۔ وہ اللہ کے حکم سے معجزات کرتے تھے اور قیامت سے پہلے واپس آئیں گے۔
عِيسَى
عيسى هو الاسم العربي للنبي عيسى بن مريم، نبي الله ورسوله الذي بشر بالتوراة وأتى بالإنجيل. ورد ذكره في القرآن الكريم 78 مرة. يلقب بالمسيح وكلمة الله وروح الله. ولد من أمه مريم دون أب بأمر الله وكلمه 'كن'. سيعود قبل يوم القيامة لينصر الحق ويقتل الدجال.
"إِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَةٍ مِّنْهُ اسْمُهُ الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَجِيهًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ"
"إِنَّمَا الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُ أَلْقَاهَا إِلَىٰ مَرْيَمَ وَرُوحٌ مِّنْهُ"
"The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'Both in this world and in the Hereafter, I am the nearest of all the people to Jesus, the son of Mary. The prophets are paternal brothers; their mothers are different, but their religion is one.'"
